Thank you so much for being here! If you really want to help me with the lighting or anything else, stay with me.

First thing, for testing variables without having to close the game you will need this mod: **ClairObscurFix v0.0.13 -** It's important that you use the v0.0.13 as all the other ones are broken. Install instructions are inside the zip file.

Here is the direct zip download if for some reason you can’t access Nexus Mods:

ClairObscurFix (Steam and Epic)-24-0-0-13-1755946711.zip

After installing, open the file called ClairObscurFix.ini and change Enable = false below [Developer Console] to Enable = true. There're more instructions inside this file.

Open the game, load a save, press tilde to open the developer console and play around with the variables that you will find below.

The variables won’t work on the Dev Console if you use the "=" equal sign

🟩 This will work: r.EyeAdaptation.LensAttenuation 0.4 🟥 This will not: r.EyeAdaptation.LensAttenuation=0.4

If you want to test multiple variables at once, use a "|" pipe between the variables like this:

🟩 This will work: r.SkylightIntensityMultiplier 2.0 | r.EyeAdaptation.LensAttenuation 0.4 🟥 This will not: r.SkylightIntensityMultiplier 2.0 / r.EyeAdaptation.LensAttenuation 0.4

Here are some really relevant variables concerning the game’s lighting:

r.DefaultFeature.AutoExposure.ExtendDefaultLuminanceRange=1 Valid values are: 0 and 1

r.EyeAdaptation.BlackHistogramBucketInfluence=0 Valid values are: 0 and 1

r.EyeAdaptation.LensAttenuation=0.78 Valid values are anything equal of greater than 0.0

r.SkylightIntensityMultiplier=1.0 Valid values are anything equal of greater than 0.0

You’ll find all possible variables for UE5 on this link: https://dev.epicgames.com/documentation/en-us/unreal-engine/unreal-engine-console-variables-reference For the lighting related variables search for “Exposure”, “Brightness”, “Lighting”, “Light” and “Color”.
